Drum Tortillas are a convenient, aesthetically pleasing, giggable solution for the "towels on drums" sound. They are about as thick as a real tortilla, and they are made to sit perfectly within the rims of your drums. Throw them on for warm staccato tones in the studio or live. Frequently Asked Questions
Aren't they going to get destroyed by me hitting them? Drum Tortillas have no exposed seams in the playing area. As long as you don't play them with splintery drum sticks, they should last for a very long time.
How do Drum Tortillas stay in place? We make Drum Tortillas to fit on top of your drum head, relying on a close fit within the raised edge of the drum hoops to stay in place. There are no adhesives or tie ons, making it quick and easy to throw drum tortillas on your kit and remove them.
I don’t see much or any inventory available on your website… Indeed. We often sell out between batches. The best way to stay in the loop when a new batch is coming is to sign up for our email list. There you can expect to hear from us about once a month.
The design I love / sizes I need are out of stock. How can I get them? All Drum Tortillas are limited edition; we cannot make any design indefinitely. Usually when we sell out online that means we have no more of that fabric but we sometimes can source more of the design. Feel free to drop us a line with a specific request, and we'll do what we can to accommodate if possible.
I need a Drum Tortilla in a size other than 12, 13, 14, or 16"... We offer 10” and 15” Tortillas periodically when we have the available fabric. Please note that we cannot make Drum Tortillas less than 10" or greater than 18" in diameter.
Do you have an endorsement / sponsorship program? No. Drum Tortillas are made by just the two of us completely by hand. We make the price fair for our time and affordable as possible for everyone to enjoy Drum Tortillas. Inquires for discounted product in exchange for any kind of promotion will not be responded to. What is your return policy? At this time we do not offer refunds. If you're still on the fence, we recommend trying just one Tortilla for your snare.
How long will it take to fulfill my order? We will do everything we can to have your Tortillas in the mail within two weeks of placing your order. Shipping speed varies by location.
Do you guys do custom Drum Tortillas? Not at this time.
How do I take good care of Drum Tortillas? We recommend storing them flat to avoid creases and wrinkles. However, you can roll them up in your stick-bag and it won't hurt anything. When they get too wrinkly, you can throw them in the wash (cold, gentle) and lay them flat to dry. You can also iron them (that's what we do).

"I never play drums softly; I routinely break sticks, drum heads, etc." Drum Tortillas work best when played relatively softly. Some heavy hitting users still enjoy the sound and aesthetic of their Drum Tortillas with tape underneath to keep them more secure. If you have a light touch, you won’t need additional securing for your Drum Tortillas unless the drum is at a significant angle.
"I gravitate towards playing drums with brushes and mallets whenever I get the chance." We think Drum Tortillas will serve your musical vocabulary quite well.
"I have to crank my drum so much that the hoop isn't raised much above the drum head." You may want to consider upgrading your lugs / hoops before investing in Drum Tortillas.
